Oral History

The Tailhook Association

Project

Members are invited to share their sea stories and experiences for a book that will preserve the rich history of our beloved Association, as told by those who have lived it. Don’t miss this opportunity to tell  your story, capture memories of favorite, funniest, or most inspiring moments.

A book of unique stories,
told by Tailhook members

The Tailhook Association has collaborated with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI), to create an oral history of Tailhook that will record our shared connections. With more than 7,000 members, and so many inspiring legends through the years, what better way to recognize our impact as an association than to share our personal narratives?

The collection of stories will be available for purchase from PCI.  While there is a fee to purchase the printed book/merchandise (Tailhook does not make any proceeds from this project), you do not need to purchase the book to contribute your Oral History.

1. I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information and a story about the Tailhook Association. Is this a legitimate project?

It’s legit! We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce an Oral History Publication for the Tailhook Association. PCI is a family owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation for almost 100 years. This project allows the Tailhook Association to hear about your personal experiences and explain how the Tailhook Association has helped shape your lives.

2. Does the Tailhook Association benefit from this at all?

Yes, in a few different ways:

  1. Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage members
