National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month:

Thank you for your support of National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month: http://www.aircraftcarrier.com
Our goal is to celebrate National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month in elementary schools
in communities across the country and have students:

  • Learn about U.S. Navy aircraft carriers from people who have served aboard a carrier
  • Write letters of support and create care packages for the Sailors and Marines aboard an aircraft carrier that will be deployed during Thanksgiving

This is also a great way for schools to honor a veteran near Veterans Day.

We will promote volunteers’ presentations, students’ activities and your organization with the media and on social media. We will help plan presentations and provide materials to educate the students about the importance of aircraft carriers and about National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month. We are especially interested in reaching communities without a traditional tie to aircraft carriers.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for considering our request.

Appeal to Tailhook Association Members

We need volunteers to speak to elementary school students about the exciting life aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier as part of the celebration of National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month in November.

November has been designated National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month to honor the value, accomplishments and contributions of U.S. Navy aircraft carriers, as well as the men and women who serve aboard them.

In partnership with the National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month Committee, we are asking for volunteers who have served aboard an aircraft carrier to identify an elementary school in their area and talk to a class about life aboard an aircraft carrier.

Once you have identified a school, the National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month Committee will help you schedule and plan your visit and provide you materials to educate the students about the importance of aircraft carriers and about National U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Month.

If you are interested in volunteering to speak at a local elementary school, please visit www.aircraftcarrier.com/schools to sign up.
