Tailhook Educational Foundation Scholarship Awards

The purposes of the Tailhook Educational Foundation are to educate the public with regard to the history and present day activities of United States Navy carrier aviation; to provide undergraduate educational scholarships to persons, or children of persons, who serve or formerly served the United States Navy as Naval Aviators, Naval Flight Officers, or Naval Aircrewmen, or as carrier aviation air wing or ship’s company personnel; and to distribute educational materials pertaining to aviation in general and naval aviation in particular.

Scholarship Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration for a Tailhook Educational Foundation scholarship, an individual must be a high school graduate and the natural, step, or adopted son, daughter or grandchild of a current or former Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Naval Aircrewman. Also eligible are individuals or children of individuals who are serving or have served on board a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier in ship’s company or the air wing.

Eligible applicants must be accepted for undergraduate enrollment at an accredited college or university.

Completed application forms, with enclosures, must be received in the Tailhook Educational Foundation office no later than March 15, 2009, for the 2009-2010 school year. If you have any questions about scholarship qualifications, call the Foundation at (800) 269-8267.
